Q: Where does North Atlantic Networks have coverage?
A: North Atlantic Networks has coverage throughout all of New England and metro New York including: VT, ME, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY. View North Atlantic Networks's coverage area map at Super Regional Coverage Map for more information. North Atlantic Networks can also provide services throughout the United States and the world as long as the majority of connectivity is based within North Atlantic Networks's primary coverage area.

Q: Does North Atlantic Networks have a Service License Agreement?
A: Yes. Contact North Atlantic Networks or your Account Executive for a copy or check the North Atlantic Networks Downloads page.

Q: What is North Atlantic Networks's leased line backup option all about?
A: North Atlantic Networks provides several backup options for leased lines: 128K ISDN backup, redundant PVC (for Frame Relay networks) or high speed circuit (speeds up to full T1). North Atlantic Networks highly recommends one of these backup options for all line speeds of 384K and above. It provides excellent piece of mind, especially for those customers who have already made a commitment to pay the additional cost of a premium service. The backup option will pay for itself the first time primary connectivity is lost.

Q: I need more IP addresses. Who do I call?
A: First, be sure that you actually do need additional addresses. North Atlantic Networks technical support can help you to verify this. In most cases there are well-known methods in place to avoid the need for additional addresses. Please also note that there is an additional fee for IP addresses beyond your initial allocation. The additional fee is required to offset the fee paid by North Atlantic Networks to ARIN (American Registry of Internet Numbers). Order additional IP addresses.

Q: I want news (USENET) services. How do I get them?
A: Contact North Atlantic Networks. News services can be set up in a matter of hours. You may order online here.

Q: What are the web hosting options North Atlantic Networks offers?
A: Refer to North Atlantic Networks's web-site, contact North Atlantic Networks directly, or ask for more detail from your North Atlantic Networks Account Executive. North Atlantic Networks offers all of the same options as the major hosting firms. Additional services can be requested here.

Q: I need a service not on my original contract. How do I request it?
A: Sign and return a "Request for Additional Services" form. This form is also available online here.

Q: I want to upgrade the speed of my leased line. What should I do?
A: Contact your Account Executive. If you are using Frame Relay, you may be required to install a new line. If you are using point-to-point technology, the upgrade can likely be performed in a matter of days. You may be required to sign a new contract for the upgrade to occur.

Q: What is North Atlantic Networks's Mail Service Backup service?
A: For customers who have their own on-site mail server. North Atlantic Networks's mail server can act as a backup mail server in the event that your mail server experiences a malfunction or your Internet connectivity is lost. In either case, North Atlantic Networks's server will start accepting and saving email for your server on a temporary basis, while it waits for your server to come back online. Once your server is back up, North Atlantic Networks's mail server will forward any saved messages.
